“Soul Music Legend“ Seal is again explaining what photography and Leica is all about…
„He is something of a Leica fanatic, with the sophisticated understanding of what Leica cameras represent, which can only be acquired by direct experience and insight.“
Well for me Leica cameras always represented values that do not go together with singing at the birthday parties of people like Ramsan Kadyrow.
Leica cameras, for me, always represented photographers who made a statement about politics and the human condition.
Not photographers who claim for themselves to be able „to look inside the souls of people“ and who on the other hand wanted to be left out of politics and responsibility, if it comes to taking money from dictators:
„By going there, I played MUSIC for the Chechenyan people. I’m a MUSICIAN and would appreciate if you leave me out of your politics,“ he wrote in response to an angry follower.
Following his performance, he wrote, „It was an interesting show indeed.“
